Victorian Valentine Making Workshop

Elaborate, ornate, heartfelt. These words capture the beauty of Victorian Valentines. Discover the history of these gorgeous keepsakes and create your own treasures at the Henry B. Plant Museum’s Victorian Valentine Making Workshop!
Curator of Education, Melissa Sullebarger will lead participants through various techniques for constructing valentines, including the use of color, texture, and embellishments, as well as tricks to make cards pop up and move! Material will be provided, but participants are encouraged to personalize their Valentines. Tea and light fare will be provided by Oxford Exchange.
Provided materials will include:
Paper, card stock, patterned paper, lace doilies, tissue paper, ribbon, stickers, beads, pipe cleaners, glue, and more!
