Tampa Oratorio Singers Present Mozart’s Requiem

The Tampa Oratorio Singers (TOS) will perform Mozart’s “Requiem” and “Ave Verum” with soloists and orchestra. The Requiem is often the subject of myth and speculation, due to the fact that Mozart died before its completion.  The emotional power of the Requiem makes this one of the most widely performed choral works. Audiences will recognize the fiery “Dies Irae” and the mournful “Lachrymosa”.  Music Director Nancy Callahan selected this Requiem, in part, because “The message and the music elevate the audience from cries of lament to expressions of peace.” Music Director Nancy Callahan will conduct the performance.
