Role Reversal: New Focus for Two Artists
Date
Location
Judy Vienneau and Carole Shelton both work with metal in three-dimensional art: Judy as a wire sculptor/mixed media artist, and Carole as a jewelry artist. They have reversed their focus for this show with Carole presenting 3- dimensional Metal “Quilts” and Judy with “Wearable Art”. “We are both stepping out of our comfort zones,” says Shelton. “I, for one, have a new respect for sculptors working in large formats.” Judy echoes that she has a difficult time working small. She was inspired by Shelton’s delicate work. Both artists have included versions of their signature styles, as well as new pieces using their skills in metal, wire, and embellishment. See the exhibition October 13 – November 15, in person, or through the window. The Closing Reception will be held during Art Walk.
