Roll back the clock a century and join us for an old-fashioned picnic on Sunday, March 6th, starting at 11 am, in Plant Park. Bring your blanket, pack a picnic basket and come experience the pleasures of a simpler time in a safe environment. Relax in the shade as you enjoy entertainment on Center Stage. Find inspiration in nature’s beauty with Tampa Regional Artists’ plein air painting activity. Meet a new furry friend with the Humane Society of Tampa Bay.  Enjoy a Victorian paper-crafting activity and typewriter bar with the Paper Seahorse.

 

Visitor safety is a top priority at this outdoor event. Seating will be spaced 6 ft. apart and hand sanitizer will be available in the park.  Visitors to the Museum are required to wear masks.

Professor Gusto will be exploring the park, full of advice on the best ways to have proper Victorian fun.

 

Picnic in the Park is a perfect opportunity to lull in a haven of rest and contentment on the banks of the Hillsborough River.  Bring your own picnic basket, chairs, blankets and coolers and enjoy the day.  A limited number of family picnic tables seating either are available for $20.  To reserve your table, contact Todd Edwards 813.258.7301 or tedwards@ut.edu.  Food and refreshments available for purchase from Concho Cuban Food Truck.
