Live-Work is an exploration of built environments in transition and how we move through them. It takes its name from the language of mixed-use development, asking us to consider the connection between labor, recreation, daily life and cultural perceptions of place. Three artists—matthew anthony batty, Dakota Parkinson and Andrés Ramirez—speak to the transformative processes involved in placemaking through media such as installation, ceramic sculpture and photography.

This exhibition will be on display March 18 – June 27, 2024 at Gallery221@HCC Dale Mabry Campus. A closing reception will take place on Wednesday, June 26th from 5 – 8 p.m., with a panel discussion scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.

Gallery221@HCC is located on the second floor of the Learning Resources Center, HCC Dale Mabry Campus. Visitor parking on campus is free in any open lot. Gallery hours are Monday–Wednesday 9 a.m.–4 p.m., Thursday 9 a.m.–7:00 p.m., Friday 9 a.m.–2 p.m., closed Saturday–Sunday.
