A CWP Theatre Education Workshop

Join us for an informative session that will discuss the fundamentals of directing from handling challenging actors, working within the limits of a performance venue, building a rehearsal schedule and boosting confidence in a dependable cast and crew.

Strategies and approaches to prepare for a rehearsal schedule will be explored from your first production meeting to the audition process to blocking your scenes, rerunning your scenes with your cast, stage manager and crew, up to tech week and finally performance.

This promises to be a comprehensive session to build confidence and minimize the stress that comes with being a director, coach and leader of a stage production.

Marc S. Sanders has been an active member of Carrollwood Players since 1993. He has participated in over 30 productions with the theatre from performing on stage, to directing, producing, stage managing and playwriting. Marc served on the CWP Board for 5 years and has chaired various committees including the Playreading Committee as well as participated in the director selection committee. He helped pioneer the theatre’s renowned One Act Festival which has been going strong for over 20 years. Marc is proud to continue on with the theatre’s legacy of stage performance and artistic craft.
