Turning Point of Tampa (TPOT) is a family-owned addiction and eating disorder treatment center that has been serving the Tampa community for 34 years, helping individuals find recovery. Turning Point of Tampa Charitable Foundation exists to assist those individuals with no financial means find treatment and services on the path to recovery.
TPOT and the Charitable Foundation have hosted more than 20 events. Night of Recovery Comedy Intervention IX is an evening to celebrate recovery through laughter and the community, with proceeds benefitting the Foundation.
Who better to laugh about recovery with than someone like John Lehr, the original Geico Caveman, who speaks openly about his sobriety? Also making us laugh that evening will be Alonzo Bodden, a regular panel member on NPR’s Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me! and winner of Season 3’s Last Comic Standing, who has been making audiences around the country laugh for more than 20 years. To guide us through the evening will be local TV celebrity Danny New (NBC’s Daytime), also known to be able to tell a good joke or two.
Tickets are $ $27.00 at the Box Office, and $29.75 (with fees) online. There will be no alcohol sales at this event.
