According to Darren Taylor, the timing could not be better for the release of the new faith-based feature-length film The Greatest Coach Of All Time.

Singer/songwriter Taylor wrote the script and stars as Tommy Jackson, a hometown hero high school quarterback whose dreams of a football career are shattered when he injures his throwing shoulder. After college, Jackson returns to the same high school as a music teacher, and is eventually asked to take over as coach of the football team. And when Jackson turns to his old high school football coach, Coach Brown (played by former college football player and full-time evangelist RV Brown), he learns about the “greatest coach of all time,” Jesus Christ, and his “playbook,” the Bible.

“The message of the movie aligns with the Supreme Court Ruling for former high school football coach Joseph Kennedy, who claimed that Bremerton School District violated his religious freedom by telling him he couldn’t pray so publicly after the games,” says Taylor. “The coach received a ruling in his favor that the district violated his religious freedom.

“The message of the movie is clear,” Taylor says. “It’s never too late for your comeback when you’re being coached by The Greatest Coach Of All Time!”

The film co-stars Dean Cain (Superman, God’s Not Dead), Ron Ellis, and Super Bowl champions Michael Clayton and Dexter Jackson.

Writer, Director & co-star Darren Taylor found success as a singer/songwriter in Nashville before relocating to Florida, was featured on national television with his blended family of 6 kids, and has several songs featured in the movie, including the title track “The Greatest Coach Of All Time.”

The world premiere of The Greatest Coach of All Time is a free community screening. Seating is limited, and patrons will be admitted on a first-come, first served basis. Immediately following the screening, stick around for a discussion and audience Q&A with Darren Taylor and members of the cast.
