On Friday, December 9, 2022 at 6:00pm the Ybor City Museum Society and El Centro Español de Tampa invite you to an engaging panel discussion on Spanish immigration to Tampa and the U.S. Visiting experts from Spain, Luis Argeo, Filmmaker and Journalist (Asturias) and Maria Luque Larena, Director of Cultural Affairs, United States-Spain Council, will be joined by a distinguished panel including: Dr. Gary R. Mormino, Frank E. Duckwall Professor of History Emeritus, University of South Florida; The Honorable E.J. Salcines, Local Historian and Expert on Spanish Immigration; John Rañon, President, El Centro Español de Tampa; Tony Carreño, Local Historian and Author of Fernando’s Footsteps. They will their share their expertise and research on the lives and experiences of Spanish immigrants in the late 1800s and early 1900s. The event and parking are free. Registrations are appreciated, however not required.
