Holiday Classics – Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey (2020)

Date

Dec 12 2021

Location

Tampa Theatre
711 N. Franklin Street, Tampa, FL 33602

2h 2m / PG / Family Musical

In the gloriously vibrant town of Cobbleton, legendary toymaker Jeronicus Jangle’s (Forest Whitaker) fanciful inventions burst with whimsy and wonder. But when his trusted apprentice (Keegan-Michael Key) steals his most prized creation, it’s up to his equally bright and inventive granddaughter (Madalen Mills) — and a long-forgotten invention — to heal old wounds and reawaken the magic within.

Originally conceived by writer/director David E. Talbert as a stage musical, Jingle Jangle retains the lively character of an in-person theatre experience — and the exceptionally strong, majority Black cast gives this overflowing stocking of a movie a fresh perspective on the optimism and redemptive potential of Christmas.

DONATE TO OUR DIAPER DRIVE!
Tampa Theatre is partnering with the Junior League of Tampa this holiday season to help the one in three families in the United States who struggle to provide their babies with clean, dry diapers. Guests attending Holiday Classics film screenings are invited to bring in disposable diapers of any type, size or brand, wipes and diaper cream, or help by purchasing items off of the Junior League of Tampa’s Amazon Wishlist.

Opened packages of disposable diapers are acceptable; however, please place them in a plastic zip-top bag, and label them with the size. Many of those in need use public laundry facilities, which do not permit washing cloth diapers for hygiene reasons. Accordingly, this is a disposable diaper collection only. We cannot accept cloth diapers, nor can we accept opened formula or other baby necessities, to ensure the health and safety of our participating families.

The Holiday Classics series is presented by Bank of America, with promotional support from Tampa Bay METRO Magazine and WEDU PBS
