Contemporary Prints for New and Experienced Collectors

Graphicstudio, part of the Institute for Research in Art in the USF College of The Arts, invites the public to our annual Open House and Benefit Sale for an opportunity to collect works from leading and emerging artists while supporting this 54-year-old Tampa art studio! Graphicstudio will offer limited edition prints and sculpture multiples with a 10% discounted price during this one-day event, from Saturday, May 21 from 10 am until 5 pm. In addition to the sale, guests may visit with Graphicstudio master printers and learn more about printmaking processes and techniques during etching demonstrations conducted throughout the day.

Contemporary prints by some of today’s most talented and exciting artists will be available, including Los Carpinteros, Lesley Dill, Alex Katz, Mernet Larsen, Robert Mapplethorpe, Christian Marclay, Vik Muniz, Robert Rauschenberg, Ed Ruscha, and William Wegman, among others. We will also be featuring recent editions with E. V. Day, Mark Dion, Iva Gueorguieva, Alex Katz, Duke Riley, Bosco Sodi, and Rodrigo Valenzuela. Also on view will be rare inventory with only one impression available by John Chamberlain, Lesley Dill, Nicholas Krushenick, Roy Lichtenstein, and James Rosenquist. Printmaking techniques include processes such as relief, etching, photogravure, screenprinting and lithography. The sale begins at 10 am with only a few impressions of each artwork available at the discounted price. All sales benefit Graphicstudio’s continuing research and educational programming.

This event is free and open to the public. Graphicstudio strongly encourages all visitors to wear masks. Please contact Kristin Soderqvist, Graphicstudio Director of Sales and Marketing, for more information at soderqvi@usf.edu
