In celebration of the 40th anniversary of great community theatre at Carrollwood Players, we will close our 2020/2021 Mainstage season with this special song and dance extravaganza.
Featuring songs from musicals we’ve produced over the decades, this high energy show will have audiences tapping their toes and smiling wide.
With songs from Broadway musicals such as The Fantasticks, Little Shop of Horrors, Cabaret, Once Upon a Mattress, 1776, Pippin, Urinetown, Working, Nunsense, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Fiddler on the Roof, and more!
AUDITION DATES:
Sunday, June 6th, 2021 at 7 pm
Monday, June 7th, 2021 at 7 pm

Auditions will be at Carrollwood Players Theatre, 4333 Gunn Highway, Tampa, FL, 33618
Strict health and safety protocols will be in place during these auditions.
You MUST complete the online audition form prior to the audition date so that we can send you complete audition details.
These details will be sent approximately 1 day prior to the audition.
PRODUCTION DATES:
August 13th – 21st, 2021
Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm, Sundays at 2 pm
Tech Week:
Sun. August 8th – Thu. August 12th, 2021
Must be available for all tech week rehearsals and all performances.
PLEASE LIST ALL POTENTIAL DATE SCHEDULE CONFLICTS ON THE ONLINE AUDITION FORM. Please take care to complete this section in full. Casting decisions and rehearsal schedules are based in part on this information.
Rehearsals:
There will be up to 25 rehearsals for this production, plus tech week and performances. The exact rehearsal schedule is to be determined, but rehearsals are usually 3-4 weekday nights per week, from approximately 7 pm until 9:30 pm.
There will also be a weekly dance rehearsal on Saturdays during the day.
The rehearsal schedule intensifies as opening night draws closer.
Tech week rehearsals often run later into the evening.
No experience is necessary. All roles are open. All ethnicities are encouraged to audition. This is a non-paid opportunity.

Available Roles:
Director Aaron Washington is seeking 14-16 high energy performers with big personalities.
You should be aged 16 and up with strong singing and movement ability.
You should be able to dance and carry a tune (sing well with group), and be comfortable singing various styles of the Broadway library.
What to Prepare:
Please prepare a minimum of 16-32 bars of TWO contrasting songs that showcase your voice, and be prepared to perform both.
An accompanist will be provided, and you must bring sheet music in the correct key. No tracks or acapella.
There will be a movement section for movers and a dance section for dancers. Please dress comfortably and be prepared to participate in one or both.
