Location

What animals will you discover?

Take an animal safari through art, from where ever your students are! Students will hone their observation skills as they learn about the animal kingdom. Among the many animals you may discover, students will discuss and compare animals kept as pets, wild animals, animals used for work, and even mythological animals.

Teachers have two options for an Animal Safari Virtual Tour:

  • Live Virtual Tour
  • Pre-Recorded Tour

Live Virtual Tour

All live virtual tours are led by an experienced museum educator through Zoom or Microsoft Teams, and are between 30 and 45-minutes in length. Before the tour, you can meet with your museum educator to customize the animal safari experience for your students, including choosing featured artworks and pre-planned engagement activities. Live virtual tours leverage technology to create an interactive experience for your students that gets students moving, thinking, reading and writing!

Pre-Recorded Tour

The video option gives teachers the greatest amount of flexibility. These tours are designed with activities and reflection/discussion prompts for students, and teachers can easily pause the video to allow students time to reflect and respond. This tour is easily understandable by all elementary students and activities can be adapted to suit individual classroom needs.
