A Legacy of Smoke Film Screening

On Thursday, December 8, 2022 at 6:00pm the Ybor City Museum and El Centro Asturiano de Tampa welcome you to a viewing of a film entitled A Legacy of Smoke. Join us for an intriguing evening in the ornate and historic theatre of the Centro Asturiano. In 2014, Dr. James Fernádez of NYU and Spanish cinematographer and journalist, Luis Argeo, created a docudrama to inform and motivate people to get involved in preserving what remains of the remarkable story of the Spanish presence in Tampa. The screening of the film, which has been featured in international film festivals, will be followed by a Q & A with Argeo and local experts on Spanish immigration. The event and parking are free. Registrations are appreciated, however not required.
