Public Art Volunteers needed for HCC’s NEST project

NEST (Nourishment, Education, and Social Terraces) is the current project under Grounds4Art@HCC. Led by artist Tory Tepp, NEST will result in the creation of two community green spaces: one at the HCC Dale Mabry Campus, and another at the HCC Ybor City Campus. We are looking for volunteers to assist with the creation of this inspiring new project during the Spring 2021 term! Fabrication will occur roughly from mid-January through the end of February.

This is an exciting opportunity to work firsthand with a dynamic artist who has created public artworks all over the country, and to help us improve the quality of our campuses for HCC students and visitors alike! For more information about NEST, see our website.

Work on the NEST sites will be outside and may include activities such as: planting and gardening, moving materials such as dirt/stones/pavers, painting ceramic tiles, and light construction, among others.

For your safety, everyone is required to wear a mask while on college property. Physical distancing will also be enforced, which will limit the number of volunteers on any day/time to small groups.

Please complete this simple volunteer signup form if you’re interested in being a part of this landmark project at HCC.
