Michelle Becker is an emerging artist who moved to Tampa, Florida 5 years ago. Originally from Massachusetts, she received her bachelor’s degree in Fine Art from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
While in school, she was fortunate to spend her junior year abroad studying at the Studio Art Center (SACI) in Florence, Italy. Traveling in Europe allowed her to fully appreciate the impact of art on human consciousness and the artist’s place within culture.
Her work is focused on mixed media that investigates the utilization of both traditional and non-traditional artist materials in telling a story.
Michelle has participated in several shows: 5×5 Tampa 2016 at the Tampa Museum of Art as well as the inaugural Square OFF: Center Place, Brandon Fl. 2017 and Flying Tiger Café, Ybor Tampa 2017, The Portico, Tampa FL 2018, and The Disco Dolls Studio, Tampa FL 2018.
