The natural elements in my work emerge from growing up in the country, living and working outside. The world was a canvas that taught me as I studied it about shadow, depth and textures. My art has evolved from years of work and perfecting techniques, but each have a link to that past.
The tapestry that fills the background originates from generations of quilting. Stitched together by dots, lines and shades of colors, it illustrates the tightly woven physical system that unites all creation, a divine connection that comes to us from our Creator.
