NewGrounds: a collection of dance films

Celebrate dance from the comfort of your home. Moving Current Dance Collective presents NewGrounds: a collection of dance films. The screening features 7 films chosen through an application process.  Selected artists are presented in virtual screening and as a part of Moving Current Dance Collective’s interactive website, Dance à la carte.

Also includes free interactive dance experiences for all ages.

Dance à la carte explores the relationship between dance and music. It’s a fun NewGrounds component that allows viewing participants to choose a short dance excerpt from the concert, modify the speed, and match it with a music choice, to create their own dance list.

Playground is a landscape of moving pieces that you can transform. Have fun! Play with the laws of motion. Toss the geometric shapes, shift and flip the twirling dancers, watch while they tumble across the page. Playground is an amusing exercise in the laws of physics. Kid-friendly and free!
