For the Love of Aurora

Love is in the air! Join Brandon Ballet as they once again bring elegant and virtuosic ballet performance to the Brandon area! This Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2021, dancers of the beloved local ballet company will perform an original, one-act ballet, For the Love of Aurora. In just one month, Artistic Director, Doricha Sales has choreographed a family-friendly ballet based on the story of The Sleeping Beauty, and librettos of ‘Le Belle au Bois Dormant’ and ‘Le Réveil de Flore.’
In this fresh, imaginative take on the classic tale, the dancers will carry the audience through the celebrations and mishaps of Aurora’s 15th birthday party. Enjoy the merriment as her Court of Fairies present gifts to her of Kindness, Vitality, Grace, and Temperament. Watch with anticipation as the evil fairy, Carabosse, begins to set her curse in action. As the performance comes to a close, you’ll be delightfully rejoicing in Aurora’s vision of her future husband, Prince Desiré.
So grab your family, along with your lawn chairs and blankets (no chairs will be provided for this outdoor performance), and enjoy Valentine’s Day with Brandon Ballet!
