She was an educator, activist, and the first African-American woman in Florida to graduate from law school. Learn about the legacy of Blanche Armwood this month during Florida Conversations. Fred Hearns, curator of Black history, joins Andrea Thompson, Spelman College Tampa Alumnae Chapter, and Joanna Tokley, an educator and former director of the Tampa-Hillsborough Urban League, to discuss Armwood’s life in Tampa.
