The Carrollwood Cultural Center is accepting audition submissions for a dramatic reading/silent film to be screened and streamed in October 2021.
The Call of Cthulhu, originally written by H.P. Lovecraft in 1926 and serialized in the February issue of Weird Tales in 1928, follows the story of an unnamed protagonist who stumbles upon the conspiracy of the ages and through the discovery of odd and ancient pieces of artwork, tortured artists who are plagued with dreams of horror as well as dedicated and highly secretive cultists, he inadvertently finds himself tangled in a web of mystery and horror all aimed in one direction; The long forgotten “dead and dreaming” Cthulhu.
Adapted by Mackley Fogarty and produced by The Carrollwood Cultural Center, this will be a combination of a dramatic reading of Call of Cthulhu by H.P. Lovecraft and a black & white silent film.
To audition, please email auditions to mackley@carrollwoodcenter.org by May 21. The audition should be a dramatic reading of your choice. Actors should have a response, roll and schedule provided by May 24.
