Terryle Heffner

Ever since Terryle Heffner can remember he loved creating art anyway he could imagine from school art contests to dance. He has earned a BFA in dance and was trained at the renowned dance studios of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and The Dance Theatre of Harlem.

Since completing his formal education, he has continued creating his artwork. His artwork is conceived by bursts of visions he sees in his mind.

He is inspired by the great artists, dancers, designers, fashion connoisseurs and musicians such as Isadora Duncan, Andy Warhol, Bill T. Jones, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Billie Holiday, Picasso, Willie Smith, Andre Leon Tally and Jimi Hendrix. However, Terryle’s number one inspiration is his grandmother. The unconditional love his grandmother presented him with, continues to inspire him on a daily basis.

Most of his artwork is 360 degrees. Thus, there is no front or back to his artwork; this is inspired by the phrase “there are two sides to every story — one not more important than the other.” He believes that “artworks through other art.” He is passionate about spreading love throughout society – in the form of artwork.
