Silvana Gabriela

Ms. Gabriela Valencia was born in Guayaquil Ecuador and started drawing and painting at age 5.  She quickly realized she had a passion for expressing the world around her on paper and canvas.  At age 12 she attended summer art camps to continue her education and learn about art.  At age 14 she started Juan J. Plaza high school for the arts. At this time she also studied classical violin learning the music of such masters as Bach and Beethoven. After high school, Ms. Valencia went on to study advertising with an emphasis on art at the Vicente Rocafuerte University in Guayaquil Ecuador receiving her degree in 2000. After college, Ms. Valencia went on to teach music and art at the prestigious Logos Academy, an international private school for world studies. In 2008 Ms. Valencia moved to the Tampa Bay area to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming an independent artist.  She currently participates in art shows around South Florida as a member of the Suntan Art Center, The Pastel Society of Tampa Bay and a member of the Professional Association of Visual Artists (PAVA).
