With a design degree from Pratt Institute and coursework at the Royal Academy of Denmark, Mario Saverino began his interior design career in his home town of New York City, specializing in hospitality and restaurant design. For a decade as a project manager and project designer, he worked on projects – including the legendary Eden Roc in Miami Beach and the “High Rollers Suites” for the Sands Hotel in Atlantic City and Las Vegas – that stretched across the U.S. Mario extended his reach to Europe and the Pan-Pacific region while he was with a San Francisco design firm. He also created set designs for feature films, made-for-TV movies and commercials, which landed him in Los Angeles.

In 1999, he and his partner, Kenn D. Myers, formed MKandcompany Interior Design and Decoration, specializing in high-end residential design. Mario focuses on all avenues of design, from residential and commercial to hospitality and restaurant design, with particular emphasis on kitchen and baths. His work has appeared in numerous books, magazines and newspapers. In 2015 Mario relocated to Tampa, Florida where he is now is doing his true passion of being an artist-illustrator as well as continuing work on selected high-end interior design projects.
