Caitlin Albritton is an interdisciplinary artist who works in primarily oil painting, silversmithing, and printmaking. She graduated cum laude from Savannah College of Art and Design in 2012 with a major in painting and a minor in ceramics.
Her current artistic focus is broadly on gym culture with sometimes abstracted figuration that offer strangely intimate, yet empathetically comical views of the stage-like environment of gyms. Albritton’s Rock Solid Body Collection of inlay “wearable paintings” is an offshoot of her Gym Series of paintings by playing with the absurdity of having a rock-hard gym body by making one out of rocks.
