I’m a freelance artist currently living in St. Petersburg. I’ve only been actively pursuing creative opportunities for a couple of years, and in that time have displayed paintings in spaces in both St. Petersburg and Tampa, participated in a local public juried gallery show, and exhibited at a local art and crafts market. As a mostly self-taught artist, I enjoy playing with styles and exploring different tools and techniques. Some of my favorite subjects are animals, including the mythical or fantastical kind, and I get a lot of inspiration and influence from fairytales and fables from around the world. My style is probably closer to folk art than fine art, with a lot of references to the imagery I grew up with, so a lot of my work tends to have an illustrative quality and storybook themes.
